I started painting late in life and lived in different countries. My mother was an artist and and she used to say that she was not good at painting portraits and that she found it difficult. I, on the other hand, loved drawing portraits. I have travelled a lot and went to New Mexico several times and visited all the galeries there and it inspired me to start painting. I took some classes at the Ontario College of Art, also when I lived in Mexico, took some classeswith well-known artists there. Had my first shows in Mexico.
Back in Canada, I took many workshops and lately took two courses on abstracts. I initially painted landscapes and then migrated to portraits and figures and now, also, abstracts. |
